Mademoiselle Victorine, Debra Finerman's first novel set against the backdrop of 1860 Paris, where the Impressionist in art begins. It tells the story of Victorine Laurent, a young girl who rises up from poverty to become the premier, if infamous, courtesan of her time. She is the composite of two fascinating women of that time, Manet's model Victorine Meurent and the tempestuous courtesan, the Countess of Castiglione.
Victorine Meurent, model & muse of Edouard Manet

Virginia Oldoini, Countess of Castiglione
Although fictional, the history details have been researched which lends a strong sense of truth to the tale.
Two of the paintings by Edouard of Victorine Meurent which are included in the plot of the book:

For my next creation, inspired by her divine beauty, The Countess of Castiglione will be my main inspiration for a gorgeous gorgeous earrings. This will take time as I have to wait for my beautiful gems to arrive. So stay tuned dolls!
Today I was experimenting with bead caps. And the result was... Mademoiselle Victorine Earrings. These bead caps are rather tiny. Although they're quite small and dainty, they look amazingly alluring and very seductive on the ear lobes.
Comprises of a single gorgeous Amethyst Rondelles and a drop of luscious purple Chalcedony Fat Briolette adorned with intricate handcrafted bead caps.

To be a true coquette, you must be willing at any point to leave. Thus, the object of your seduction will want to possess you all the more.

❤,

Love this spread from LULA magazine (Fall/Winter 2008) photographed by the gorgeous Ellen Von Unwerth - my favorite photographer. As the Halloween approaches, I had no clue of what to wear to my coming Halloween party. Perhaps I'll dress up as a witch? Well, not the spooky looking ones but a modish one.
I particularly love the last picture where model Audrey Marnay posed in an exquisite looking little black lacey dress with dramatic eyes, her hair parting in the middle, slightly wavy and a tiny witch hat as the hair accessory. How adorable is that?
And oh... this look looks amazing with my Tangled Spell She Weaves slave bracelet don't you think? ;)
So tell me, what are you going to dress up this Halloween?
❤,

Another simply bewitching slave bracelet design not for the shy! The wire wrapped centerpiece is extremely gorgeous, set against the dark, mysterious color palette of black and vitrail medium Swarovski crystals.Available here: Tangled Spell She Weaves Slave Bracelet
P/S: I had so much fun doing the photoshoot with my lovely niece, although I'm still working on my shutterbug techniques.
